Chamberlain High School
HISTORY Chamberlain High School was opened in September, 1956. It was named in honor of George D. Chamberlain who served for several years as a Hillsborough School System Trustee. Since its establishment in 1956, Chamberlain High School has maintained a standard of excellence in every area of the curriculum. Outstanding achievements have been made in academics, the fine arts, athletics and community involvement. From an initial enrollment of 1,000 in 1956, Chamberlain has grown to a student population of more than 2,500. Through the years, despite this dramatic growth and expansion, Chamberlain has successfully continued to strive for higher goals while maintaining its reputation as one of Florida's finest high schools. It is a school rich in traditions, academics and spirit. While we treasure the richness of Chamberlain's past, we look forward to the greatness of its future. DISTINCTION Chamberlain High School is an official "5 Star School". It is one of 84 schools recognized with this award. The 5 Star School Award recognizes schools which full integrate a "Five Star" involvement of: -Business Partners Chamberlain High School also won the award for most improved attendance for the 2002-2003 school year.
